Murt Burner, was born on December 18, 1988 in Kremenchuk, Ukraine. Murt grew up in an ordinary but loving family. The first thing that left an imprint on his artistic path was the rather criminal neighborhood where Murt lived, where he began to draw on the walls. The next introduction to art was Murt's first tattoo at the age of 14, after which he awakened his interest in tattoo culture.
Although he had no formal art education, moving to Kyiv at the age of nineteen with his girlfriend, who was studying graphic design, allowed him to gain a deeper understanding of creativity.Inspired by artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Edvard Munch, Amedeo Clemente Modigliani and others Murt became fascinated with expressionism, channeling emotional complexities into his work that reflected the chaotic world around him.
Later, Murt discovered customization, and this shifted his focus towards art as a profession. He began customizing clothes and shoes, gaining recognition and collaborating with celebrities and brands.The artist's expressionist style, which has fully transitioned to painting, reflects both personal experience and social upheaval, including the impact of the war in Ukraine. In addition to painting, Murt is also a musician, and his works can be heard on all streaming platforms under the same name Murt Burner.
In his own words, Murt describes his approach to life and art as follows: "I don't make plans because I don't know if I'm going to wake up tomorrow, but if I do wake up, I'm going to draw or write something."Murt Burner's work is a vivid expression of resilience, capturing the complexity of human experience in the face of upheaval and transformation.
