Artist, singer, actor, and model Murt Burner.

About Murt Burner

Murt Burner was born on December 18 in Kremenchuk, Ukraine. His artistic journey began on the streets of his hometown, where he first explored creativity through street art. At the age of nineteen, he moved to Kyiv, where he continues to live and work.

Although he has no formal art education, Murt is a self-taught artist who consistently refines his skills, combining independent study of theory and practice with insights gained from established artists.

At twenty-two, he became deeply involved in customizing footwear and clothing, co-founding the creative laboratory Hoodfamous. This period brought him his first recognition. Over the years, he collaborated with brands such as New Balance, Anoeses, Fresh Cut Label, and partnered with Eromin at Ukrainian Fashion Week SS26, creating a live hat customization performance. In 2024, he presented a collaborative project and exhibition with Ilya Chichkan, a participant of the Venice Biennale. His artworks are owned by prominent figures, including Boris Brejcha and Monatik.

While painting had always accompanied his practice, at the age of twenty-eight Murt fully devoted himself to working on canvas. Today, his style can be described as Contemporary Figurative Minimalism, merging clean forms with symbolic elements to explore themes of identity, technology, and human existence. At times, he draws upon expressionism and neo-expressionism to convey raw emotion and break restraint. A recurring character in his work is Flombry—a figure with a flower-shaped head, symbolizing consumer culture, play, and mortality within the context of contemporary art.

Beyond visual art, Murt Burner creates music available on all major digital platforms under his own name, and he occasionally appears in creative projects as a model.
